Role: Project Manager for Clinical Eye Research Centre, focusing on coordinating and managing clinical trials/studies in ophthalmology.
Location: Liverpool, UK
Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, co-ordinate, and facilitate clinical research projects (commercial, non-commercial, subcontract studies).
Ensure projects meet ethical and regulatory standards.
Liaise with researchers, sponsors, university contacts, and NHS trust teams.
Responsible for study registration, management, cost assessments, and advisory support.
Direct day-to-day research operations, quality and accuracy of regulatory data, and long-term study management.
Deputise for Business Manager when required.
Use planning software for project management (e.g. Microsoft Project).
Serve as point of contact for sponsors/clients/stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate with Honours Degree (preferably science or clinical discipline) or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience coordinating/managing clinical studies or projects (pharma, CRO, NHS).
Knowledge of research compliance (ICH/GCP, NHS Research Governance, ethical standards).
Skills in planning, organisation, communication, administration and teamwork.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project planning tools.
Attention to detail; ability to meet tight deadlines in a demanding setting.
Ability to work independently and professionally liaise with sponsors.
Desirable:
NHS/University/Industry liaison experience.
Leadership/management experience.
Phase I Clinical Trials experience.
Data analysis and protocol development skills.
