About the Role

Abbey Care is a trusted provider of health and social care services, assisting individuals with various health needs, including learning disabilities, mental health issues, and personal care support. We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers to help enhance the lives of those we serve.

Role Overview

As a Support Worker, you will assist individuals in living healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include supporting daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring access to the local community. You will also assist with personal care, medication management, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage independence by supporting individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal care.
  • Administer medication accurately and on time.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe home environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with family, friends, and the community.
  • Provide practical and emotional support for shopping, appointments, and social activities.
  • Assist individuals in accessing community resources to enhance their well-being.
  • Occasionally accompany individuals outside their home for various activities.
  • Respect personal preferences and promote individuality and independence.
  • Regularly report to the Service Manager on individual progress and care plans.
